The overwhelming majority of the negative reviews are based on the game’s performance, with most users stating that the port is poorly optimised. Looking at the game’s Steam page, Part I is currently sitting on a “Mostly Negative” user review status from over 4,000 posted opinions. Well, if Steam user reviews are anything to go by, that excitement has been somewhat tarnished. The HBO show pulled in huge ratings, and the remake has garnered excellent reviews on PS5 ( we gave it a 9), so those looking to finally play the game on PC have been chomping at the bit to experience Joel and Ellie’s story for themselves. The much-lauded remake of the original smash hit game was, until today, a PlayStation exclusive, so it’s understandable why a PC port would generate a fair amount of excitement. No longer a PlayStation exclusive, The Last of Us Part I launched on PC today, though its release has been far from smooth.
